PLACERVILLE CAMPAIGN WILL COVER THE   FOLLOWING    CITIES IN EL DORADO COUNTY:
Cameron Park/Camino /Coloma /Cool /Diamond Springs /El Dorado / El Dorado Hills/ Garden Valley / Georgetown /Greenwood/ Grizzly Flats /Lotus /Mount Aukum /Pilot Hill/ Placerville /Pollock Pines /Rescue / Shingle Springs /Somerset
 
IF YOU RESIDE IN South Lake Tahoe, You must register with the South Lake Tahoe Campaign.
 Children up to the age of 17 if still in school are eligible to be registered. 
Registration will only be completed on the following dates / times and locations:

There is no on-line registration associated with the campaign/ nor will there be a “Wait list” / “Walk in” registration.
TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN YOU MUST BE THE LEGAL PARENT OR GUARDIAN WITH PHYSICAL CUSTODY or an authorized agency representative with physical custody, with appropriate court documentation.
 
The following items are required to register:
  • Proof of residency- utility bill/ rent statement/ piece of mail with your name and physical address on it within the last 60 days.
  • ID Card/ Report card/Progress report or medical card for each child
  • Government Photo ID of parent registering child (CDL/Passport/ Visa ETC)
  • During registration you will be notified of your appointment date/ time.
  • Charities will be required to fill out the requested paperwork and register with Tina- ONLY
  • If you require an interpreter, please bring one with you as we have not been able to secure volunteer services for all languages requested.

Once you have completed Registration you will be provided with a pick-up ticket with your appointment date and time.

Nov 28, 2026- 9 am to 4 pm- Wal Mart, 4300 Missouri Flat Rd, Placerville CA
 
Dec 6, 2026  Hangtown Christmas Parade- Drop off at Grocery Outlet Parking lot/ Schnell School/ Broadway Plaza

Collection Boxes
 
Toys for Tots collection boxes will be deployed around Oct 22rd.
 
After Nov 20, 2026 no further collection boxes will be deployed.
 
Collection boxes will be collected between Dec 4, 2026 and Dec 9, 2026
 
All Collection Boxes will have the above information attached via QR code.
A list of supporting businesses can be found at placerville-ca@toysfortots.org starting late October, 2026.
                                                               
 
                                                DISTRIBUTION
 
Distribution will be completed on Dec 12, 2026 and Dec 13, 2026  
 
Distribution is a “by appointment only” event and you must be registered during one of our registration dates to receive an appointment date and time.
 
You will need to bring your “pick up” ticket and provide your ID that you registered with during this time.
 
If you have lost your “pick up” ticket, you will need to arrive on Sunday Dec 13,2026 with all paperwork you used to register as you will need to complete the registration process again.
 
If you registered in 2025 and DID NOT pick up your items- you will need to check in via the drive through que and will be instructed to return in the minimum wait time of 1 hour.
 
You may miss your pick-up time, you may arrive any time AFTER you pick up time until Sunday Dec 13, 2026 at 3pm. After 3 pm we close to our registered families to assist our non-profit partners.
 
Only the person who registered will be able to pick up the items.
 
Distribution location will be posted on the National site –
placerville-ca@toysfortots.org and our Facebook page-  edct4t- no earlier than Dec 10, 2026 at Midnight.
 
Distribution WILL be drive through only. The California Highway Patrol will provide security measures/ directions to ensure the smooth and safe flow of traffic along with the usage of the respective department’s volunteers. Please follow their directions to ensure our event runs smoothly.
 
With “Drive Thru” Distribution- please ensure that your trunk/ hatch area etc.- is cleared of all other items so your items will be able to be placed into your vehicle.

This year we will have a random drawing for any bicycles the campaign receives. Please ensure that you provide a viable e mail address and only one bicycle per family. We will make every attempt to provide a bicycle helmet with each bicycle. In the event that we are unable to secure a helmet- per California Vehicle Code Section 21212a- you must provide a helmet for your child.

 
 DECEMBER 13, 2026  at 5 pm, OUR CAMPAIGN WILL CLOSE FOR THE YEAR and we will be unavailable via phone/ e mail.
 
                                                VOLUNTEERING
 
         
From mid to late Oct 2026, volunteer opportunities will be e mailed to our past volunteers from our volunteer coordinator Linde (linde.t4t@gmail.com).
 
Please wait for the e mail or information posted on our Facebook page for volunteer opportunities to be announced.  
 
Partnering Non Profit’s will need to complete the required paperwork and return to Tina (tina.edct4t@gmail.com) no later than NOV 30th.
